Balarabe attended the University of Westminster, London, United Kingdom, where he obtained an LL.B degree. He holds a Master’s degree in Petroleum Law and Policy as well as an MBA in Oil and Gas Management from the University of Dundee, Scotland, and has attended several courses, including those at Harvard Business School and the London School of Economics.
Balarabe is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, a Notary Public of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and a Chartered Secretary.
He has worked with various oil and gas companies in England and Scotland, including British Gas Plc and Gazprom Plc. He has advised a broad range of clients on energy law, acquisition of interests, management of oil and gas projects, mining interests acquisition and development, investment laws and practice, corporate governance, business establishment, and general business compliance. He has also been engaged in numerous domestic and international financing transactions.
His commitment to exceeding clients’ expectations and ensuring the success of any transaction endears him to his clients. He possesses vast knowledge and understanding of the oil and gas industry, with extensive experience in the acquisition and disposal of petroleum exploration and production assets.
Balarabe consults extensively on a wide range of investment issues for international exploration, oil service and trading companies, mining companies, as well as startup tech companies, offering guidance on various aspects of business development. He once served as an adviser to the Ondo State Government on oil and gas-related matters.
